What is Ultra
Foam? |
Ultra
Foam, as the name implies, is a brand name given to a particular type of foam that exceeds
certain High Performance and Durability Standards. Such tests include:
Simply put,
before the foam is accepted, it withstands extensive bending, stretching and abuse, far
beyond the normal wear and tear of many lifetimes. |
All
foam mattresses are not the same. |
As you've seen, many tests are
used to determine the quality of foam. Density is by far the most important guide.
Many people relate density to firmness, and that is totally incorrect.
Density is measured by the pounds per cubic foot, (PCF) Other foam mattresses
can be extremely firm with very little density; causing it to break down very
quickly.
|
Ultra Foam has
a density of 2.25 lbs. per cu. foot
the highest used
in foam mattresses. This high density gives it a 100% memory; always going back to it's
original shape; no more sagging.
Ultra Foam like
most Quality Foams is resilient.
It contours to any body shape, automatically adjusting as you move. Supports your body
comfortably for hours of restful sleep.
Ultra Foam
mattresses are durable.
You
can actually fold your mattress without doing damage. This feature gives the mattress
longer life.
Ultra Foam is
independently adjustable. People of all shapes and
sizes sleep comfortably on foam mattresses. The tiny foam cells cradle the natural shape
of your body allowing the heavier parts of the body the proper support and comfort you
require.
Ultra
Foam Mattresses are ideal for allergy sufferers.
Highly resistant to mildew, foam is clean and dust free. With
it's open cell structure, air circulates freely throughout the mattress keeping it fresh
and dust free.
Ultra Foam
Mattresses are quiet. There
is no moving parts to make noise.
Ultra Foam is
odorless.
Constant air
flow through the cell structure allows moisture to evaporate, preventing build-up of
odors.
Ultra Foam is
cool and comfortable for sleeping. The self-ventilating feature enables you to sleep cooler in the summer,
while in the winter, warm air trapped beneath the blankets circulates within the
foam mattress keeping you warm and cozy. The self-ventilating feature enables you to sleep cooler in the summer,

1987 in one of our better department stores)

Notice the price of this mattress even then. Yet it
doesn't have a zipper or 9 piece construction which would make it even more expensive
